Our dolls have been created in collaboration with Silaiwali, the fair trade organisation based in New Delhi. Silaiwali employs Afghan women refugees under the guidance of UNHCR (The UN Refugee Agency) to generate income for 70 women who up-cycle fabric scraps often generated by the fashion industry. Afghan women are known for their heritage of crochet and with the guidance of Iris Still and Bishwadeep Moitra, the founders of Silaiwali, we have up-cycled our scraps to make a collection of dolls to match our SS23 womenswear collection.
A stitch against waste. A stitch for freedom.
Silaiwali is a guaranteed Fair Trade Enterprise (WFTO).
